What we've been up to...
Big Garden Bird Watch
At the beginning of the month we took part in the Big Garden Bird Watch, creating free hanging feeders for the birds. This exciting invitation to play helped the children to develop their fine motor skills, pincer grip and hand eye coordination.
Loose parts treasure hunt
The children took part in a ‘loose parts treasure hunt’ to collect items that replicate their faces and facial features. They learned that the flexibility and durability of loose parts offered them learning opportunities to portray emotions.
We were dreaming of Spring last week.
Using a selection of paints as well as their own perception and interpretation, the children have been painting their own marvellous creations.
Encouraging imagination and curiosity
We created an exciting multi-layered invitation to play. This encouraged the children to explore the environments with magnifying glasses while utilising their imagination and curiosity.
