What we've been up to...
In babies we have been exploring the texture of paint with our hands creating some lovely pictures to be displayed.
We have also enjoyed some water play, filling, emptying and climbing into the water tray to have a splash.
We are currently in the process of refurbishing our toddler room to create a home from home environment.
We have been enjoying a range of different invitations to play while learning about Mother’s Day and St Patrick’s Day.
Learning opportunities on offer included painting with flowers, moulding playdough and making perfume by mixing water and flower petals together.
The children have also been talking about their home life and families with each other during group time.
The pre-school children have enjoyed playing ‘can you’? where we have been asking the children to find an object of a particular colour and shape within 2 minutes.
The children have then been discussing what they have found.
We have also been practicing our pen control by writing Mother’s Day Cards.
The children took control of making their own cards by choosing the resources that they wanted to use.
