What we've been up to...

We are proud to present... our dolls house to animal kingdom renovation

A few months ago we asked for donations for a project that we were working on, and we are delighted to now share the results with you.

With the help of some of our parents we have renovated a doll house into an Animal Kingdom for the children to enjoy. Here are the before and after pictures.

The children have been having lots of fun with this new invitation to play. We would like to say a huge thank you to all that donated materials for us to use

World Maths Day

To celebrate World Maths Day on 12th March, we explored numbers, shapes and measurements.

We used our kitchen weighing scales to weigh different objects from the classroom, looking at the numbers and discussed the differences between items.

We also measured ourselves using our height Giraffe, and we compared the similarities and differences between our own heights.

British Science Week

From 5th to 14th March we are celebrated British Science Week by doing lots of different experiments.  The experiments we conducted were Skittle rainbows and disappearing pictures. The children made predictions about what might happen and then tested out their own ideas. We spoke lots about why things happen and how things work.

World Book Day

The children dressed up as their favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day.

The staff team chose the story ‘Dear Zoo’ and each staff member dressed as an animal.

The children even made up our own stories and illustrated them.

Carnival fun for Red Nose Day

For Red Nose Day this year we chose a carnival theme, dressing in bright colours and taking part in a variety of carnival-themed learning opportunities including garden games and carnival crown making.

We even had a very special guest Craig D Fitness who did a virtual carnival Zumba class for us! Watch the video to see how much fun we had in our Zumba session.
