New meet the team page

Indoor construction area
The pre-school children decided to transport the outdoor construction resources indoors to create their own child-led opportunity.
While the children played the team asked open-ended questions and offered a narrative to what they were doing.
The children had their own conversations, sharing and linking their thoughts with each other. They talked about what they had made and why they were doing it.
This allowed them to gain more understanding of the different types of construction and the machinery that can be used.

Breadmaking
The children had lots of fun making their own bread rolls.
The opportunity was provided in a COVID-secure way with each child being provided with their own piece of dough and all resources being sanitised before and after use.
The learning experience allowed the children to learn about the process of making bread while exploring the different textures.
The children also made marks in their dough to help them to identify their own.

Flower exploration
This spring the pre-school children have shown a lot of interest in flowers.
The team provided a child-led opportunity that encouraged the children to explore and experiment using a variety of resources to manipulate the flowers.
The learning opportunity helped the children to develop their fine motor skills by learning how to hold and use scissors safely.

Parent survey results
We’d like to thank all our families for taking the time to complete our recent survey.
The results of the survey were emailed to families last week.
We hope that you found it insightful and useful.
