child decorating Christmas tree

What we’ve been up to…

This month Christmas hit our nursery! Ho Ho Ho!
All of the rooms had been decorated with tinsel and fairy lights to create a festive atmosphere for the children.
Each of our rooms has a Christmas tree which was decorated by the children. We’ve also had lots of arts and crafts flowing throughout the rooms.
The children have also enjoyed using carrots, brussel sprouts and cabbage to pretend making Christmas dinner.

Opening the windows to let fresh air in

As a nation we are all being urged to open our windows for ventilation which can reduce the spread of coronavirus.

At Ashbourne Day Nurseries at Swanbourne we are following this guidance by opening the windows in our rooms. This means that our rooms are slightly colder than they would usually be.

Therefore, could we please ask you to be mindful of this when dressing your children for nursery. We recommend vests and jumpers with layers that we can add or remove as the temperature changes throughout the day.
